This is another crazy ring. Many weeks of pondering how I was going to mount this one, and after being egged on by Kate to go for the more interesting option decided to mount it on edge. Used my favourite squared off outside ring design with a small spacer to lift the stone clear of the ring. The mount is a slightly thicker metal to give it the strength to grip the bottom edge while leaving most of the stone clear and open.
Turned out great, kind of mad and looks a bit dangerous, like an arrowhead, not quite a Clovis point, but the closest thing with a name. Feels a bit African in its overall outline.
